Congratulations, Graduates!

On Jan. 26, the Walden University community gathered in Dallas to celebrate the graduation of more than 2,400 Walden students. Almost 200 graduates—including members of the first class from the M.S. program in Nursing—attended the ceremony.

Rear Adm. Carol Romano, assistant surgeon general and chief nurse officer in the U.S. Public Health Service, was the commencement speaker.

“Our mission is to promote, protect and advance the health and safety of the nation,” Romano said. “I want to encourage the graduates to consider a career in public health, especially the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service. What a great way to effect positive social change.”

For those who could not attend, Walden webcast the ceremony, which is now archived.

Alumni Benefits
Through Walden’s Alumni Online Community, graduates have access to a range of resources, including the Global Career Center, an alumni directory, alumni accolades and a business exchange. Alumni also are invited to special events and can receive a tuition reduction if they return to Walden for another degree.
