Scholarship Opportunities

Walden has identified scholarship opportunities for nurses and members of the military.

The Jodi Callahan Memorial Graduate Scholarship
The Jodi Callahan Memorial Graduate Scholarship provides three $1,000 scholarships per year to selected applicants who are active-duty Air Force, full-time Air National Guard or full-time Air Force Reserve (officer or enlisted), and who are pursuing a master’s degree in a non-technical field of study.

Scholarship Range: $1,000 to each of three recipients
Application: Apply online at www.afa.org/aef/aid/callahan.pdf
Deadline: June 30 of each application year

The AORN Foundation Scholarship Program
The AORN Foundation Scholarship Program offers financial support to students enrolled in nursing schools and to perioperative nurses pursuing bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees. With the critical nursing shortage and the cost of higher education, the AORN Foundation Board of Trustees knows it is of the utmost importance to fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in nursing and for nurses advancing their professional careers.

Scholarship Range: Awards vary and are based partly on financial need.
Application: Apply online at www.aorn.org/foundation/applications.asp
Deadline: May 1, 2007
