Calls for Presentations

Present your research at a professional conference Walden may attend next year.


Walden University has a presence at conferences hosted by professional associations throughout the year. These conferences present opportunities for Walden students, alumni, faculty and staff to promote positive social change by disseminating their research.

 

Calls for Presentations
The following are open calls for presentations at conferences scheduled for 2008.

 

If you have a presentation accepted at any conference, please send an email to ponder@waldenu.edu.

 

Innovations 2008 Call for Proposals
The League for Innovation in the Community College Innovations 2008 Conference will take place March 2–5, 2008, in Denver. The conference provides a forum for collaboration among academic experts dedicated to improving organizational teaching and learning at the community college level.

 

Submissions for forums, special sessions, roundtable discussions and poster sessions are now being considered. The deadline to submit your proposal is Sept. 14, 2007.

 

2008 ACA Call for Programs
The American Counseling Association 2008 Conference and Exposition will be held March 26–30, 2008, in Honolulu.

 

Proposals for learning institutes and education sessions must be submitted using the ACA's online form by 9 p.m. Eastern time on June 4, 2007. The main presenter of all proposals must be a current ACA member in good standing. A committee of professional counselors representing all divisions, organizational affiliates and regions will review the proposals.

 

2008 NASP Convention Call for Proposals
The National Association of School Psychologists will hold its 40th annual convention Feb. 6–9, 2008, in New Orleans and is looking for presenters. Participate in a variety of session formats relevant to the profession, including papers, posters, mini-skills presentations, symposia and professional growth workshops.

 

The deadline for professional growth workshop proposals is May 31, 2007, and the deadline for presentation proposals is June 15, 2007. Acceptances and rejections will be emailed to primary presenters by Sept. 15.

 

2008 SHRM Call for Presentations
The Society for Human Resource Management’s 60th Annual Conference and Exposition will take place June 21–25, 2008, in Chicago.

 

You are invited to submit a proposal to share your experience and expertise with your colleagues in human resource management at the 2008 SHRM conference. Others will benefit from your experience while you make a valuable contribution to the profession’s field of knowledge. Submissions must be postmarked by July 13, 2007. SHRM is not able to accept faxed or emailed proposals because proof of performance must be included with each submission.
