In June, Walden University launched the Journal of Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences. This online peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal is now seeking papers from scholars, practitioners and graduate students for its first issue. Submissions are due Sept. 1.

The journal's objectives are to

1. Encourage dialogue between scholars and practitioners in the social, behavioral, and health sciences that fosters integration of research with practice.
2. Promote innovative models of interdisciplinary collaboration between the social, behavioral, and health sciences that address complex social problems.
3. Inform the relationship between practice and research in the social, behavioral, and health sciences.

The journal is edited by Dr. George Smeaton, assistant dean for research and evaluation in Walden's College of Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences. The editorial board also includes Dr. Steven Little and Dr. Cynthia Lanier from the Walden faculty as well as representatives from industry and other universities.
