Visit Walden at Nursing Conferences in July

Walden will have booths at the conferences of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses and the National Black Nurses Association.


Walden University will be represented at two nursing conferences in July: 

Students, alumni and faculty planning to present at these conferences are encouraged to send details (presenter name/background, topic title/topic description, time, day, meeting room number or name) to the Walden Ponder.

 

 

The NAHN 32nd Annual National Association of Hispanic Nurses Conference 2007 is being held July 17–20 at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort in Industry Hills, Calif.

 

Exhibit dates are July 18–20.

 

Topics will include regional and national research trends in Hispanic health policy, promotion and prevention that impact nursing care; clinical practices related to common Hispanic health problems seen in acute and chronic nursing practice settings; and effective and successful educational strategies for the recruitment and retention of Hispanic nursing students.

 

Walden students, alumni and faculty are asked to visit Walden at Booth 30 and bring colleagues along who may be interested in learning more about the university.

 

Graduating Walden M.S. program in Nursing student Lydia Lopez, who goes directly from the conference to Walden’s July 21 commencement in Minneapolis, will be in attendance at the booth to meet with current and prospective students.

 

 

The National Black Nurses Association Annual Institute and Conference, “Nursing Practice: Influencing the Continuum of Health Policy,” is being held July 25–29 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

 

Exhibit dates are July 26–28.

 

Walden students, alumni and faculty are asked to visit Walden at Booth 504 and bring colleagues along who may be interested in learning more about the university.
