2007
Teresa Peterson, who earned an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Literacy and Learning in the Content Areas, presented “Laying the Foundation: Trusting Students and Teachers to Achieve” with her school administrator at the Coalition of Essential Schools Fall Forum in Denver.
Dr. Helen Sung, who earned a Ph.D. in Education, will present her research at the California School Boards Association conference in November.
2006
John Hoving, who earned an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Middle Level Education, was named principal at Holy Family Middle School in Michigan.
2005
Christine Beardslee, who earned an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Elementary Reading and Literacy, has been recognized in the 9th, 10th, and 11th editions of Who's Who Among America's Teachers. She teaches first grade at Private Nicholas Minue School in Carteret, N.J.
Gloria Brown Brooks, who earned an M.S. in Education and is now in the Ed.D. program with a specialization in Teacher Leadership, trained as an Intel Master trainer to provide professional development for her county and has given a technology presentation to her district principals. She also was chosen for the summer 2007 Park City Mathematics Institute. In addition, she is the teacher-leader for her school’s accreditation team.
Leanne Maule, who earned an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Integrating Technology into the Classroom, was named the 2008 Teacher of the Year in her school district. She is a teacher in the English department at Cartersville High School in Georgia.
2004
Judith Brown, who earned an M.S. in Education and is now a Ph.D. in Education student, wrote a social skills curriculum guide for her school based on the Application section of her first Knowledge Area Module. She also was included in Who's Who Among America’s Teachers.
Michelle Hardy, who earned an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Elementary Reading and Literacy, runs Hardy Alternative Health Services, which offers such birth-related care as massage therapy and labor and postpartum doula services.
Beverly Kerecman, who earned an M.S. in Education and is now an Ed.D. student, is a National Board Certified Teacher.
1998
Dr. Peter A. Maresco, who earned a Ph.D. in Education, will present “Product Integration in Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic Series” at the 2008 Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association National Conference in San Francisco. He also had a proposal accepted by McFarland Publishers for a book titled The Business of Christianity. He is a clinical assistant professor in the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University

Dr. Jonathan S. Gray, who earned a Ph.D. in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling, is developing a nonprofit organization in Israel that will work with schools and communities to develop tailor-made programs for at-risk youth that will enhance their leadership talents. The mission of the organization will be to reduce violence by redirecting negative energy into positive action. Gray’s dissertation focused on adolescents' perceptions of school and community violence in Northern Israel.

Dr. Bruce Dart, who earned a Ph.D. in Public Health, was elected vice president of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). He will be president-elect in 2008 and president in 2009.
2000
Dr. Harold C. Cohen, who earned a Ph.D. in Health Services, served as a co-writer and subject matter expert for the governor’s Virginia Tech Mass Shooting Review Panel. Harold co-authored the chapter “Emergency Medical Services and Incident Command.” He is a senior analyst at SPC/TriData Corp.

Dr. Vali Hawkins Mitchell, who earned a Ph.D. in Health Services, is a leading authority on emotional continuity management for disaster and business emergency planning. She speaks at many world conferences, is well-published, and teaches at Washington State.
2006
Dr. Charles R. Minnick, who earned a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change, was named dean of the College of Business and Professional Studies at Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa.
1998
Dr. Donald McLellan, who earned a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences, presented "Critical Incident Management" (and discussed research and case study analysis of recent events and national protocols now in place for first responders) at the International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference. McLellan also is a faculty member in the School of Public Policy and Administration.
1994
Dr. Chris Adalikwu, who earned a Ph.D. in Administration/Management, was named associate dean and graduate business coordinator for Columbia Southern University. Previously, he chaired Concordia College’s Division of Business Administration and Computer Information. As a practitioner, Adalikwu has held positions with State Farm, J.C. Penney and Metropolitan Life. He also has been a Fulbright Scholar and guest lecturer in several countries.
1994
Dr. Shamir Andrew Ally, who earned a Ph.D. in Administration/Management, was selected as an external examiner for Ed.D. candidates at George Washington University, in Washington, D.C. He also presented a “2007 Cricket World Cup Super 8 Matches in Guyana, Visitors Survey Report” at the University of Guyana to an audience that included Guyana's president and ministers of sports and tourism.

Abigail Cornett, who earned an M.S. degree in Nursing, was recognized for excellence in teaching by North Georgia Technical College's Blairsville’s campus, where she is a practical nursing instructor. She has 18 years of occupational experience in nursing and has been teaching at the Blairsville campus for seven years.

Pennie Murray, who earned an M.S. in Psychology with a specialization in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, had a poster, “Achievement Moratorium: Imprinted Apprehension in Black Success,” accepted for the National Association of School Psychologists 2008 convention. 2003
Dr. Jim Price, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, contributed a chapter, "Psychosocial and Psychophysiological Implications of Amputation," to Pre- and Post-Operative Services for the Amputee with Diabetes published by the American Diabetes Association.
