Through the online Alumni Lecture Series, Walden University alumni share practical, professional advice with fellow graduates, current students, and prospective students.

 

Upcoming Lecture
June 17, 2–3 p.m. Eastern time: “How to Avoid Identity Theft,” with Dr. Albert Marcella ’95, Ph.D. in Administration/Management

 

Albert J. Marcella Jr., Ph.D., is president of Business Automation Consultants LLC, a global information technology and management-consulting firm that provides information technology (IT) management consulting, IT audit and security reviews, and training.

 

Dr. Marcella, a widely published author and editor, is a public speaker, researcher, and workshop and seminar leader with 30 years of experience in IT audit, security, and assessing internal controls. He is co-editor of the recent book Cyber Forensics: A Field Manual for Collecting, Examining, and Preserving Evidence of Computer Crimes, second edition, which focuses on issues, tools, and control techniques designed to assist audit, law enforcement, and information-security professionals in the investigation of illegal activities using information technology.

 

Dr. Marcella is also a professor of management information systems in the School of Business and Technology at Webster University. He holds a Ph.D. from Walden University, where his doctoral research examined the relationship between ethics and auditor judgment; an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven; and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College.

 

About the Lectures
These online lectures consist of a 45-minute presentation and a question-and-answer period. Participants watch the presentation slides on their computer and listen to the audio portion over the phone.
