Walden Creates Latino Changemaker Award

Nominate yourself, a student or alumni member by Oct. 20 for this award, which recognizes Hispanics who are changing the world.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Walden University has created the Latino Changemaker Award to recognize Hispanic students and alumni who are changing the world.

We want to know your story. Whether you are nominating yourself, a fellow student or alumni member, please email a nomination letter to awards@waldenu.edu by Oct. 20. Nomination letters should include the following:

  • Nominee’s name and degree program
  • How he or she is contributing to social change
  • What motivates his or her efforts
  • Who is benefiting from his or her efforts
  • How a Walden education has contributed to his or her efforts

In November, a panel of Latino Walden faculty and community leaders will choose several compelling stories to be featured in the Walden Ponder. Of the finalists, one will have a $2,500 contribution made by Walden to the nonprofit cause of their choice. The cause should be a nonprofit serving the Latino community (public schools are included if they are able to accept outside donations).
