Funding Opportunities

The Research Center has identified funding opportunities for students and faculty in a variety of areas.

Each month, the Research Center features funding opportunities and provides links to more information. Many of these opportunities may not apply to this year’s studies, but may be a better fit in the later years of your academic career.

APA’S Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Child Psychology Graduate Fellowships
The fellowships promote the advancement of knowledge and learning in the field of child psychology. Up to three graduate students will be awarded the $20,000 Koppitz Fellowship plus travel funds to attend the two APA conventions. Runner-up applicants will be awarded travel stipends to attend the APA conventions and other conferences in child psychology.

The Morris K. Udall Foundation’s Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution Ph.D. Fellowship
The Udall Foundation awards two one-year fellowships of up to $24,000 to doctoral candidates whose research concerns U.S. environmental public policy and/or environmental conflict resolution and who are entering the final year of writing their dissertation. Dissertation fellowships are intended to cover academic and living expenses from July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008.

The Spencer Foundation’s Dissertation Fellowship Program
The Dissertation Fellowship Program seeks to encourage a new generation of scholars from a wide range of disciplines and professional fields to undertake research relevant to the improvement of education. These $25,000 fellowships support individuals whose dissertations show the potential for bringing fresh and constructive perspectives to the history, theory or practice of formal or informal education anywhere in the world.

The Target Field Trip Grants Program
As part of Target’s commitment to supporting education, the innovative new Target Field Trip Grants program will award up to 800 educators grants of $1,000 each to fund a field trip for their students. From art museums and environmental projects to cultural events and civic experiences, Target Field Trip Grants could take you and your students on the ultimate field trip.
