Scholarship Opportunities

Walden’s Office of Financial Aid has identified scholarship opportunities from the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and the National Federation of the Blind.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation offers annual scholarships to qualifying undergraduate students who are the sons and daughters of current or former U.S. Marines. (A limited number of scholarships are also provided to children of Navy Corpsmen who serve or have served with the Marines.) The application deadline for the 2007–2008 academic year is March 1, 2007 (for high school seniors), and April 16, 2007 (for all other students).

National Federation of the Blind 2007 Scholarship Program
Each year at its national convention in July, the National Federation of the Blind gives a broad array of scholarships to recognize achievement by blind scholars. All applicants for these scholarships must be legally blind and pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, postsecondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of 2007. (Some exceptions exist.) The scholarship application deadline is March 31, 2007.
