In Memoriam Walden University mourns the loss of Dr. Carol May Podhoretz Berman, who earned a Ph.D. in Health Services in 1992. Berman, a speech-language pathologist, had been a leader at the children’s advocacy group Zero to Three and had served as executive director of the U.S. Department of Education’s National Council on the Handicapped (now the National Council on Disability) during the Carter administration.
