Walden Launches Doctor of Business Administration Program Walden responds to the demand for executives with advanced leadership skills.
Today’s complex business world demands that executives have a command of business fundamentals as well as an understanding of the latest research and trends that are affecting modern business practice, including organizational change, strategy and innovation, and globalization.
To address this need, Walden University has launched a Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) program through its School of Management. The School of Management currently offers a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences degree. The new D.B.A. program offers students a practical application for business theory and research and features a doctoral study centered on a real-world company project instead of a dissertation. Students may choose from 10 specializations, including a self-designed option that allows students to create their own specialization under the guidance of a Walden faculty member.
“This program is designed for the business professional who seeks a leadership position within an organization or to influence the success of an organization as an outside consultant,” says Dr. Wanda Gravett, associate dean of the School of Management. “Walden offers these executives the opportunity to translate their business experience into a program that focuses on strengthening their leadership and decision-making skills.”
