Walden Offers New Education Specializations

Expanding portfolio of offerings addresses latest developments in the field of education.


The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership at Walden University continues to provide high-caliber programs that showcase recognized experts and leading-edge curricula with the launch of several new specializations at the master’s and doctoral levels.

  • M.S. in Education with a specialization in Adolescent Literacy and Technology (Grades 6–12): This specialization provides cutting-edge expertise in the use of technology to help teachers motivate middle and high school students to achieve higher degrees of literacy and achievement across all the content areas.
  • M.S. in Education with a specialization in Special Education (Non-Licensure) (Grades K–12): This specialization synthesizes the most current research in the areas of neuroscience, assessment and scientifically based interventions so that teachers can best meet the learning requirements of students with special needs.
  • Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: This specialization provides in-depth, individualized research opportunities tailored to academic discipline and student grade level, as well as one-on-one mentoring from professionals in your area of interest.

Walden is currently accepting applications for the upcoming start date.
