New M.P.A. Specializations, Certificates Offered

Students gain skills to meet the growing demand in the public sector.

Across the public sector, career opportunities are predicted to expand rapidly over the next five years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Now, Walden University students have the opportunity to better meet this need with several new specializations in the Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) program and new certificate programs from the School of Public Policy and Administration.

Specializations in High-Interest Areas
In addition to the General Program and popular specializations in Health Policy and Policy Analysis, the M.P.A. program now includes the following specializations:

Walden’s M.P.A. program can be completed in less than two years, depending on your individual progress and credits transferred.

Complete a Certificate in Six Months
Students can complete a graduate certificate in six months and earn credits toward an M.P.A. degree or the new M.S. in Nonprofit Management and Leadership degree.

Students have the opportunity to learn the skills required to operate and manage a local government agency through the Graduate Certificate in Government Management and build the management capabilities to advance their career in the nonprofit sector through the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
