Presidential Award for Faculty Excellence Walden honored Dr. Tracy Marsh and Dr. Robyn Williams for their outstanding commitment and contributions.
At Walden University’s Board of Directors Awards Dinner held in January in Dallas, two faculty members were honored for their significant influence, valuable mentoring and willingness to serve.
The recipients of the 2009 Presidential Award for Faculty Excellence are Dr. Tracy Marsh of the School of Psychology and Dr. Robyn Williams of the School of Counseling and Social Service and the School of Psychology.

“Dr. Marsh provides outstanding service to the school, college and university. [She] has been incredibly active professionally over the past year … working full time as a field placement coordinator for the counseling psychology program and also providing services as a clinician to obtain licensure in the state of California. She works tirelessly to support students in their practicum and internships … is highly sought after by students during the residencies and consistently receives positive evaluations. Dr. Marsh promotes positive social change through her teaching, mentoring, research, leadership and attitude. She is a great asset to the School of Psychology.”

“Robyn has become an outstanding professional in this unique environment, providing tireless leadership and service. She has significantly influenced the landscape of the Mental Health Counseling program at Walden and … takes her role as facilitator for learning very seriously. She is very vocal about the competencies students need … and has significantly influenced the residency curriculum and other course content. Robyn maintains a strong connection with the trends and issues of the profession and is very assertive in making sure that our students have the benefit of this knowledge. She supports the university’s mission, not only with her own professional activities, but with her encouragement and support of others.”
