Walden Expands Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Offerings

Post-master’s programs build expertise across the educational arena.

In addition to the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Technology program that was introduced last November, Walden’s Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership is now offering two new Ed.S. programs:

Ed.S. in Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning
This program is designed for administrators who want to

  • Increase their effectiveness in transforming their educational environment
  • Learn an innovative, collaborative model of administration
  • Integrate theory and practice to advance their careers and have a positive impact on their educational communities

Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership
This program is designed for educators at all levels of experience who want to

  • Increase their ability to make contributions to their school or organization, thereby improving the lives of their students
  • Focus on best practices that can be applied immediately in the classroom
  • Use research to effect change and improve student learning, while developing the skills needed for professional advancement

Designed to be completed in approximately two years, Walden’s Ed.S. programs—which have no residency requirements—are appropriate for education professionals who want to acquire the expertise in understanding and analyzing research that can help them reach their professional goals. Graduates of these programs may apply selected course credits to the completion of a doctoral degree program in education from Walden, enabling them to earn their doctoral degree in less time.

Current and prospective students interested in these post-master’s programs should contact an enrollment advisor at 1-866-492-5336 for more information. Walden is currently accepting applications.
