Community College Leader to Discuss Degree Options

Dr. Terry O’Banion will host an online Walden Forum on March 24.

Community college leader Dr. Terry O’Banion will host an online Walden Forum, “Degree Options in the Community College Profession,” at 7 p.m. Eastern time March 24.

 

This forum should appeal to students and professionals who want to explore new career opportunities in the community college field and to those already working in this exciting area who would like to grow beyond their current roles. Participants will have the opportunity to speak directly with O’Banion.

 

O’Banion will address the state of community college leadership and the depth of degree offerings that Walden offers community college professionals. These include

 

About Dr. O’Banion
A faculty member of the Community College Leadership program at Walden University, O’Banion is a recognized leader in the field of higher education. He has served for more than 20 years as president of the League for Innovation in the Community College.

 

He has written 12 books and 135 articles on the community college, including A Learning College for the 21st Century (Phoenix: American Council on Education 1997). He has consulted for more than 800 community colleges in the United States and Canada, and he is one of the nation’s leading experts on the Learning College. He has been honored by the National Institute for Leadership Development, the American Association of Community Colleges and the College Board. He also received an honorary doctor of humane letters from Walden in 2005.
