Walden Students Volunteer in Mexico Students help make winter less harsh for women in rural Mexico. In December 2008, members of Walden University’s International Dual Degree Walden Student Association at Universidad del Valle de México’s Querétaro campus delivered supplies, winter clothing, medicine and blankets to a group of 40 Otomi Indian women.
The delivery was part of the student association’s ongoing “Working with Our Community” program, a social change effort that began in 2006. The 115 Walden students in Querétaro collaborated for one month to gather supplies from their friends, family and other educational institutions, including Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro.
