Attend the August International Academic Residency Meet face-to-face with faculty members and peers in Liverpool, England, as you move toward your goals. Learn about leading a life of social commitment at Walden University’s August 2009 Ph.D. international residency in Liverpool, England. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive individual advising, enhance research skills, attend seminars, network with other students and work directly with support staff.
The University of Liverpool and Walden University have created an exclusive residency agenda for the program consisting of both traditional residency work and cultural excursions throughout Liverpool.
Liverpool Residency
![]() Liverpool waterfront This six-day residency will take place at the University of Liverpool, where housing will be provided at the Carnatic Halls of Residence. The residency was planned with the idea that friends and family could accompany Walden students to the United Kingdom. To accommodate guests, students will attend academic sessions from morning through mid-day. The afternoon and evening itineraries consist of cultural programs and excursions open to both students and their guests.
![]() Victoria Building, University of Liverpool Celebrating an 800-year history, Liverpool was named the European Capital of Culture in 2008. Boasting more buildings than any other city in the U.K. outside of London, Liverpool’s waterfront features the Three Graces, Albert Dock and Pier Head. In 2004, UNESCO named Liverpool’s dock front a World Heritage Site because of its innovative architecture and its vital role in expanding British trade and influence during the country’s empirical age.
