Walden Expands Instructional Design and Technology Offerings to Master’s Level New program prepares students for leadership roles in fast-growing field. From higher education and businesses to the government and medical fields—as the world’s reliance on technology increases and new technologies emerge, so does the need for highly skilled instructional design and technology professionals who can help their organizations thrive.
Now professionals interested in advancing their career in this fast-growing field can enroll in Walden’s new M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology degree program. Offered through The Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership, this program offers students the choice of three specializations: “This program blends creativity and conceptual knowledge about how people learn with applicable real-world experience. Students gain the skills to evaluate, create, and manage technology-based learning experiences,” said Victoria Reid, vice president of The Richard Riley College of Education and Leadership. “And at Walden, they are learning from an experienced leader in online content development and instructional delivery.”

Embedded in the program is a certificate in Instructional Design that all students earn after completing the fifth course. Depending on their choice of specialization, students can also earn a certificate in either Training and Performance Improvement or Online Instruction or both.
