Video Contest Offers $5,000 Grand Prize, $2,500 for Favorite Charity

Graduates and students are encouraged to submit their personal stories of making a positive change in Walden’s Scholars of Change contest.

It’s well known that Walden University strives to help make a positive difference in the lives of its students and graduates and those around them. In order to share those personal stories with others, Walden is inviting all students and graduates to enter its Scholars of Change video contest by submitting a short video (three minutes or less) on how Walden has helped them to make a positive change in their career, their life, or the lives of others.

Participants may be eligible to win one of five $5,000 grand prizes and an additional $2,500 prize for the winner’s favorite charity.

The contest is part of Walden’s new brand campaign, which captures the university’s mission of creating positive social change. While the multimedia campaign features vignettes that show how Walden students can make a difference in their communities, this video contest will showcase real stories from real Walden students and graduates.

All entries must be received no later than 3 p.m. Eastern time on Sept. 14, 2009. More information on the contest is available at www.WaldenU.edu/contest.
