Learn about leading a life of social commitment at Walden University’s September 2009 academic residencies in Jacksonville, Fla. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive individual advising, enhance research skills, attend seminars, network with other students and work directly with support staff.

![]() The Hyatt Regency Riverfront in downtown Jacksonville Walden University academic residencies help prepare students to be scholar-practitioners, connecting them with individual faculty mentors, student support staff, hundreds of peers who share common interests, and tools that enhance writing, research and critical thinking skills.
Conducted nearly every month at a university, conference center or hotel in the United States and abroad, Walden’s academic residencies provide doctoral students and some master’s degree students with insights into earning and applying their degrees.
The academic residencies provide a lively learning atmosphere combined with seminars, networking and travel.
![]() Walden will host a four-day Ph.D. residency and a four-day D.B.A. residency in Seattle, Nov. 18 to 22, 2009. A combination of metropolitan style and coastal beauty, Jacksonville is a city that defines the Floridian lifestyle and landscape. Jacksonville boasts a lively downtown and endless stretches of pristine beaches with excellent shopping and dining options. Walden has reserved rooms at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront for housing, providing a central location for residency attendees to socialize, network and establish a support system of faculty, staff and students.
