Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration Offers New Format and Specializations Enhancements provide students more options for how and what they learn.
To meet the diverse learning styles and interests of students, Walden University has enhanced its Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration program.
The only Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration available online has added a course-based learning format that allows students to complete their degree in as little as three years.*
This format now includes new courses that focus on relevant issues facing today’s policymakers, and the overall number of credits required for graduation have been reduced, providing students with a more direct path to degree completion.
In addition, three new specializations have been added to the Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration program, covering topics that address emerging needs and issues shaping public policy and administration. They include
The original learning format, a blend of online courses and faculty-guided research, has also been updated to better meet the needs of its students.
“To create and maintain thriving communities in today’s complex world, we need policymakers with the vision and leadership skills to develop programs and manage resources more effectively,” said Mark Gordon, program director for the Ph.D. Public Policy and Administration. “We believe the addition of a new learning format helps to meet the multiple learning styles of our students, while the additional specializations better position them to impact their communities.”
