Volunteer for Walden’s Global Day of Service Volunteer with your colleagues in your community on Oct. 3. What can 1,452 volunteer hours accomplish? If you were part of Walden’s Day of Service last year, you would have joined nearly 400 Walden faculty, staff, students and alumni in volunteering at local schools, helping to feed the hungry, landscaping public spaces and much more. Walden will celebrate its fourth annual service day on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009. The event has been renamed Walden’s Global Day of Service to recognize the worldwide reach of the Walden community. Volunteers can now register online. Volunteer opportunities can be found in neighborhoods across the nation including Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles. If you would like to recommend a service project, or volunteer to serve as a project lead, call 1-877-235-3561 or email alumniassociation@waldenu.edu. If you have any questions, call 1-877-235-3561 or email alumniassociation@waldenu.edu. September Ponder front page
