Walden Introduces B.S. in Information Technology Program

New offering helps students develop the skills employers seek.

Walden University’s new B.S. in Information Technology program helps students develop the technical, managerial and organizational skills they need for long-term growth and career success. In this program, students have the opportunity to:

  • Study the information systems essential to virtually all organizations.
  • Gain a strong understanding of key managerial and organizational concepts.
  • Participate in practical hands-on lab activities that encourage collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Learn to develop and use resources to satisfy current and anticipated IT needs.

“The B.S. in Information Technology program is taught within a business context, so students not only develop their technical skill, but also their management capabilities and a real understanding of how information technology works within an organization to impact and improve its performance,” said Dr. Colin Wightman, director of Walden’s B.S. in Information Technology program.
