2006
Bryna Schreier, who earned an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Integrating Technology in the Classroom (Grades K–12), was certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood Physical Education.
1994
Dorsey L. Kendrick, who earned a Ph.D. in Education, received two prestigious awards: one from the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund and another from the Connecticut State Conference of NAACP.

2009
Emmanuel Onyekwere, who earned a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences, had his 2009 doctoral dissertation selected by VDM Publishing House for publication as a monograph titled “Privatization as an Instrument of Socio-economic Development in Nigeria: Just Learning from Latin America's Experience.”
1991
Dr. Allen J. White, who earned a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences, received the John F. Kennedy Jr. Community Service award by the Hyannis (Mass.) Area Chamber of Commerce for his volunteer service in the community, which includes housing for veterans, initiatives on homelessness and raising funds for Red Cross disaster relief.

2008
Derek Kouwenhoven, who received a M.S. in Nursing, was appointed director of critical care services at Central Vermont Medical Center.
School of Psychology
2009
Erica King, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology, currently works as the director of Little Hands Therapy, LLC, based in Avondale, Ariz. Her future plans include expanding her free Internet-based stress management program to include working and stay-at-home moms and businesses in the West Valley that are interested in easily improving their overall health and well-being.
2004
Wilfredo Nieves, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, was hired by Webster University in St. Petersburg, Fla., to be their statewide counseling coordinator. He is a qualified Florida state supervisor for clinical social work, marriage and family therapy and mental health counseling. He also serves as a psychologist for the federal government’s Disaster Medical Assistance Team.
